Jason J. Koskela, age 32, of Orlando, FL passed away on June 25, 2022.
Born in Orlando, Florida, on February 20, 1990 the son of Robert and Pamela Koskela. Jason is survived by his Father; and siblings, Robert, and Kasie Koskela. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Pamela in 2013.
Jason was a good son, brother and uncle to his family. He had an infectious smile and loved talking with people. After a lionhearted battle with Marfan Syndrome, Jason passed away. Marfan Syndrome has treatments but is not curable. He was hospitalized often over the last three years and spent four months of 2022 in the hospital dealing with blood clots, blood infections, and ultimately a pulmonary embolism. The syndrome is a genetic condition that adversely impacts the body’s connective tissue.
Jason was also an ardent Vikings fan. He loved the purple and gold team, his current favorite players were Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and Harrison Smith. He was known for the utmost Vikings positivity; the team didn’t have players he disliked. If they played for Minnesota, that was good enough for him. His favorite Vikings moment was in January 2018 when Case Keenum connected with Stefon Diggs to stun the New Orleans Saints with The Minneapolis Miracle.
Jason had been wanting to move back to Upstate New York for the past couple years, but due to ongoing complications and continued health issues, he was unable to move. Hi family is honoring his wishes and returning him to rest in Mecklenburg, NY.
