McGovern, Jule Conboy

Jule Conboy McGovern, 85, died June 13, 2007, at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NY.

Jule, born April 27, 1922 in Friendsville, PA, was the youngest daughter of Frank and Helena Golden Conboy. She graduated from Rush High School, Rush, PA in 1939. She then graduated from Binghamton Business School in 1941. On Nov. 24, 1943 Jule married Andrew McGovern at St. Patrick's Church, Irish Hill, PA. Jule and Andy lived in Ithaca, NY then Rochester, NY, before retiring to Pine City, NY in 1982.

Jule was a communicant at St. Peter and Paul's Church, Elmira, NY. She enjoyed the antique furnishings of her home and her pet dogs.

Jule was preceded in death by infant son Andrew, her parents, and her sisters Mary Ellen and Ann. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Andrew, and several cousins.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday June 22, 2007 at St. Patrick's Church, Irish Hill with Father Cas Stanis officiating. Prayers of committal will immediately follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
