Justin Matthew Starner of Trumansburg passed away at home unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 17.
Justin was born in Elmira on November 16, 2000, a son to Matthew and Tracee (Dunlap) Starner. He attended Trumansburg Schools and graduated from Trumansburg High School this year. Justin earned his Eagle Scout honors through Boy Scout Troop 13. He loved all kinds of music, enjoyed PC gaming with friends, and going to the movies.
Justin is survived by his parents, Matthew and Tracee Starner; sister, Britni (Scott) Marshall; grandparents, Frank and Esther Thornton, Raymond Starner, and Dorothy Dunlap; great grandmother, Betsy Hargett; uncles, Mark (Amy) Starner, Michael (Yvonne) Starner; aunt Dawn Dunlap; cousins, Madison, Mason, and Rae Starner; best friends, Tyler Romer and Max Moses; boy scout leaders and mentors, Bill Wright and Lee Stepp; and large extended family and numerous friends.

The family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Memorial Service will begin immediately at 6:00pm at the funeral home.
