Kenneth M. Hubbell

Kenneth "Bud" Hubbell, of 406 Enfield Main Rd., Enfield, passed away at his residence on Friday, September 07, 2007 at the age of 78.

Born in Enfield on April 17, 1929, Bud was the son of Robert and Nellie (Updike) Hubbell. A lifelong resident of Enfield, he graduated from Ithaca High School in 1945. Even though Bud was a farmer at heart, with a love of the outdoors and animals (especially horses), his living was earned mainly as a carpenter. He enjoyed the position of Master Carpenter at Ithaca College for many years before retiring in 1996.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bud is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Bertha J. San Soucie; children, Kenneth (Audrey), Jane (Stanley) Conroy, Carl (Pattie), Roy (Sharon) and Barbara (Steven) Cadogan; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, William, Stephen, Justin, Carl Clifford, Sheena, Nicholas and Stefanie; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and Glenn and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Leah May Hubbell and his brothers, Eugene and Jerald Hubbell.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 pm on Monday, September 10, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Enfield, 162 Enfield Main Rd, Enfield with the Rev. E. Jack Osburn officiating.
