Kenneth Robert Mahoney

Kenneth R. Mahoney of Ithaca and formerly of Syracuse passed away at home on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the age of 66.

He was born in Syracuse on February 4, 1955, a son of the late Lester Robert and Georgianna (Chartier) Mahoney. Ken was a modern day Renaissance Man who could fix any vehicle and was a master at auto body repair. He loved his motorcycle and later in life began baking, sharing his baked goods with neighbors. Ken also enjoyed spending time with friends.

Ken is survived by his siblings, Michael (Therese) Mahoney, Pete (Lourie Johnson) Mahoney, Patricia (Lloyd) Talbot, Gregory (Marsha) Mahoney, and Steven (Tracy) Macaulay; children, Justin Mahoney and Kendra Mahoney; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Eastwood American Legion, 102 Nichols Ave, Syracuse. Please bring a dish to pass.
