Kathleen M. Agard of 6141 Willow Creek Rd., Trumansburg, passed away at the Cayuga Medical Center of Ithaca on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the age of 56.
Born in Ithaca on May 5, 1949, Kathy was the daughter of Charles E. and Audrey M. Judd Manley. She graduated from the Ithaca High School in 1968.
Kathy not only drove school bus for the Ithaca City School District for many years, but also trained new drivers as they came on board. She had a gift for relating to people and seemingly endless patience.
Camping was a favorite activity for Kathy as it provided her with an opportunity to spend time with family. Her granddaughters brought a tremendous amount of joy into her life and she cherished every moment she had with each of them. Her passion for photography will leave behind a visual record of the things she most appreciated in life as will the ceramics that she created with her loving hands.
She enjoyed the many friendships made as a member of the Danby American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Bruce and Charles. She is survived by her husband, Lee Agard of Trumansburg; one son, Shawn Patrick (Dottie) Miller of Trumansburg; three granddaughters, Michelle, Kourtney and Taylor; three brothers, Rolland (Beatrice) Manley of Danby, Lawrence (Trudy Cism) Manley of Danby and Russell Manley of Ithaca; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Manley of Danby; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a long-time friend, Cathy Caywood of Danby.
