Marilyn  Porter

Marilyn D. Porter of Trumansburg passed away at Beechtree Care Center surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the age of 71.

Marilyn was born on May 23, 1943 in Waverly, a daughter of the late Howard Sears and Mildred (Seeley) and Ellsworth Porter. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, traveling throughout the United States, and antiquing.

Marilyn is survived by four children, Cari (David) Maslow, Lori McCoy, Mari Rector, and Robert (Paul Buck) Rector; three step children, Jeff (Joanne) Porter, Rodney (Lynne) Porter, and Christine (Rob) Goble; thirteen grandchildren, Jonathan, Megan, David (Carolyn), Stefani, Matthew, Ashley, Jordan, Emeline, Lydia, Zachary (Debra), Hunter, Braylan, and Olivia; two great grandchildren; and two brothers, Dale (Sybil) Porter and David (Deb) Sears. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Porter in 2012.

The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Committal will be private for family.
