Marlene E.  Polce

Marlene E. Polce, of 4573 East Seneca Road, Trumansburg, passed away at home surrounded by her family on August 22, 2012 at the age of 80.

Born in Ithaca on April 8, 1932, Marlene was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther “Skip” (Owlett) Lewis. Marlene was a homemaker raising her seven children prior to working as a bank teller for Tompkins County Trust Company. She officially retired from the Trust Company in 1992 but remained on the call list covering shifts as a teller up until 2010.

Marlene is survived by six children, Paul (Connie) Polce, Sharon (Andrew) Mazzella, Sandra Polce, Dave (Deborah Lazio) Polce, Tom Polce, and Jonathan (Irene) Polce; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ponziano Polce in 1971; a son, Andrew Polce in 1983; and a sister, Barbara Hawes.

The family will be present to receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00pm on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Celebration of Marlene’s Life will begin at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her home located at 4573 East Seneca Road, Trumansburg.
