Mary E. Stamp

Mary E. Stamp of Trumansburg passed away at University Hospital in Syracuse on Sunday, November 16th, 2008 at the age of 75.

Born in Elmira, on December 13th, 1932, Mary was the daughter of the late Lee Bailey and Rena Blake. She and her husband Clarence raised their family in the Trumansburg area, and enjoyed the friendships she made over the years. Mary spent many hours in her garden growing vegetables for her family. She lovingly provided clothing for her family over the years and her "Button Box" is still cherished by her children. Mary also liked to feed the birds that she frequently watched.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Clarence Stamp. She is survived by four children, Anna Villard of Shortsville, NY, Ronald Stamp of West Sand Lake, NY, Bonney Myers of Hughsville, PA, and William Stamp of Coopersburg, PA; four sisters, Janice O'Conner of Ithaca, NY, Lila Andrus of Laurel, DE, Elane Cunningham of Seattle, WA, and Donna Lee Smith of Endicott, NY; two half sisters, Jean Bailey of Pittsburg, PA, and Rose Westervelt of Ithaca, NY; four brothers, Danial Bailey, Robert Bailey of Waverly, NY, Tony Bailey of Killeen, TX, and James Bailey of Ithaca, NY.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, December 13th from 11 am to 12 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, Trumansburg. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 12 pm at the Church officiated by Rev. Timothy Hamilton.
