Mary Louise Stilwell, of Interlaken, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday August 12, 2013 at the age of 89.

She was born on June 8, 1924 to Arthur Eugene and Ilah Marjorie Swick. She graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1941. On December 8, 1951, she married Louis Arthur Stilwell. Together, they would run the Stilwell family farm and raise four children. Mary Louise was known as the neighborhood “egg lady”, selling her farm fresh eggs to many people in Trumansburg, Interlaken, and the surrounding area. She was also selflessly devoted to her family and friends, a faithful servant of God, and dedicated member of Covert Baptist Church. She devoted herself to teaching countless children in Sunday school and junior church throughout the years. She also spent numerous hours inviting and transporting children, and hosting 5 day clubs in her home during the summer.

Mary Louise is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Robert) Catchings, June (Larry) Vonderchek, Art (Kate) Stilwell, all of Interlaken and MaryAnn (Merritt) Compton of Trumansburg. Her siblings, a sister, Alma (Curtis) Switzer and a brother, Carlton (Jolene) Swick, both of Trumansburg. Her grandchildren, Tammy (Sarah), Mike, Scott, Bud, John (Amy), Susan (Dave), Bill (Tammy), James, Jill, Jeff, Jackie, Matt (Torey), Michelle (Andre), Maria (Ritchie) and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Lou Arthur on March 13, 1986.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 15 at the Covert Baptist Church, 9268 Route 96, Interlaken.
