Maureen F. Mclaughlin

Maureen F. McLaughlin, age 67, of Auburn/Watkins Glen, NY passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

She was born on July 27, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Robert C. and Frances (nee Staret) Feeney.

Maureen worked for a number of years at Bethany Village in Horseheads, NY. She enjoyed sharing time with many residents during that transition in their lives, all the while being a loving mother. Her family began in Philadelphia, where she and her loving husband, Raymond, raised their three boys.  Maureen and Raymond’s life together began at the Jersey Shore and quickly turned into a cross country trek for Maureen who attended college in Oregon. She was a wonderful older sister who provided her siblings with endless support and encouragement. She was a free-spirit who desired to find joy in life and share with those around her.

Maureen is survived by her sons; Ian (Becky Allen) McLaughlin and Devin McLaughlin; siblings, Eileen (Tim) Jeffery, Irene (Keith) Gill, Siobhan Beckstrom and Bridget (David) Newmiller; grandson, Kolden McLaughlin; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her parents; son, Miles McLaughlin and her husband Raymond McLaughlin.

A memorial service will be held on Monday November 7th at 11:00am at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street Trumansburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Maureen’s memory to kindly consider: Bethany Village https://www.bethany-village.org/donate/
