Michael Dalcero

d. May 27, 2006

Michael DalCero of 5191 Voorheis Rd., Trumansburg passed away in the comfort of his home on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the age of 48.

Born on August 7, 1957 in Hoboken, New Jersey, Michael was the son of Livio and Lena Ferraro DalCero. Following graduation in 1975 from the Northern Valley Regional High School in Old Tappan, NJ, Michael enlisted in the US Navy. He received an Honorable Discharge from the navy in 1979 and moved from Bergen County, NJ to Trumansburg. His career as a machinist began with a position at Schuyler Dynamics in Trumansburg, then with Wheaton Sheet Metal in Ithaca and, his last employment was with Gilbert Machine in Freeville. Even though Michael's expertise was machining, he was a "Jack of All Trades" extraordinaire. Whether at home or at work, he was able to analyze a project and could rebuild and reassemble things he had torn apart so that they worked like new when he finished.

Michael is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Sharon Nagle DalCero of Trumansburg; one son, Timothy Michael (Jamie) of Trumansburg; one sister, Maryann "Mimi" (David) Rudy of Harrogate, UK; step-mother, Marianne DalCero of Melbourne, FL; two brothers-in-law, Bill Nagle and George P. Hade, III of Trumansburg; mother-in-law and step father-in law, Annette Hade and George P. Hade, Jr. of Trumansburg; father-in-law, William Nagle of Teaneck, NJ; two nieces; four nephews and his four-legged canine and feline companions, Jenny, Sera, Sebastian and Mandy.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Tuesday, May 30, from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday, May 31 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
