Nierle Hackl, Oliva

Oliva Nierle Hackl, age 97, of 1229 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at the Lakeside Nursing Home.

Born on June 8, 1906 in Ithaca, Oliva was the daughter of Frank and Edith Barnum Roe. She remained in Ithaca for many years following her graduation from Ithaca High School. Oliva had also resided in Sun City, Arizona.

Surviving Oliva are one son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Marylou Brown of Trumansburg; one grandson, Christopher (Molly) Brown of Trumansburg; one granddaughter Vanessa Brown of Trumansburg; two great-grandchildren, Colin and Alexandra Brown of Trumansburg and several sisters-in-law, step-children, nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Oliva's wishes, private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
