Q. Marcy, Steven

Steven Q. Marcy, 59, of 67 Sandpiper Drive, Ithaca, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 1, 2006.

Born on November 16, 1946 in Elmira, New York, Steven was the son of Quintin Cyrus Marcy and Martha Rose Perkowski Marcy. He joined the US Army on October 24, 1967 and proudly served his country until the time of his honorable discharge on October 23, 1973. Steven was discharged with the rank of Sergeant.

He worked at ISA Babcock for 35 years and was currently enjoying his position at Wal Mart in Ithaca. Steven had an appreciation for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was an Eagle Scout who lived by those ideals and ethics. His outgoing personality and tendency to tease in jest made him enjoyable to spend time with and if you needed to talk, he was all ears.

In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his wife, Louise. He is survived by one son, Mark Waterman of Trumansburg; two brothers, Larry Marcy of Lansing and Dale Marcy of Newfield; two sisters, Deb Miller of Elmira and Sandy Waterman of Ithaca; one grandson, Mark Christopher Waterman and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, October 7, 2006 from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery in Ithaca.
