Ramon K. Stevenson

Ramon K. “Ray” Stevenson of Trumansburg passed away at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the age of 90.

Ray was born in Ithaca on November 26, 1932, a son of the late Laurence and Marjorie (Jackson) Stevenson. He was employed as the service manager at Agway in Ithaca until his retirement in 1995. Always keeping busy, Ray almost immediately began working after his retirement at the Trumansburg Golf Course and drove vehicles for Maguire’s until the spring of 2020.

Ray also enjoyed bowling and golfing. He and his wife Marjorie especially enjoyed camping together and supporting their grandchildren at various events.

Ray is survived by his children, David (Holly) Stevenson, Chris (Andrea) Stevenson, and Susan Meyer; seven grandchildren, Amber (Josh), Jenna (Eric), Kylee (T.J.), Emily (Molly), Luke, Jordan, and Connor; three great grandchildren, Anaya, Colton, and Joshua; sister in law, Norma Stevenson; brother in law, Bruce (Jackie) Newhart; beloved dogs and cats, Zoey, Bentley, Lily, Lucy, and Toby; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie in 2012; and a brother, Richard Stevenson.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.
