Raymond G. Stickles

Raymond G. Stickles Jr. of Ithaca, passed away from this life on April 29, 2013 from cancer at the age of 66.

Born on September 2, 1946 in Ellenville, he was the son of the late Raymond and Catherine Stickles. Ray was a truck driver for 44 years retiring from Wal-Mart Store Inc. DC-6838 out of Marcy, NY in August of 2011.

He loved the Trumansburg area having moved there in 2004. He was a 20 year plus seasonal camper at Spruce Row Camp Site. Ray loved spending the summers at camp. He also liked fishing and boating on Cayuga Lake. He was a volunteer with the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Georga; a son Robert R. (Jennifer) Stickles of Monticello; four daughters, Bonnie (Chris) Eschbach of Constantia, Peggy Clark of Ithaca, Cindy of Sparta, NC, and Pauline Swindel of Ellenville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00pm on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 3 at the funeral home. Prayers of Committal will immediately follow in Grove Cemetery.
