Richard C. ‶Dick″ Weatherby

Richard C. "Dick" Weatherby of Interlaken passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 91.

Dick was born on August 23, 1926 in Ithaca, a son of the late Ellsworth and Edna (Campbell) Weatherby. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II from 1944 to 1946. Dick enjoyed farming and agriculture but most of all, loved spending time with his family.

Dick is survived by sons, Edwin Weatherby, and Stephen (Susan) Weatherby; three daughters, Sharon (Brian) Clair, Terri Brown, and Brenda (Don) Stocum; eight grandchildren, Kevin and Andy (Jill) Weatherby, Michael (Ellen Howard) and Cameron Clair, Douglas Weatherby, Ryan (Christie) and Kyle Brown, and Sarah (Jesse) Horton; six great grandchildren; sister, Diane Sherman; and many nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Joanna Weatherby in 2016; parents, Ellsworth and Edna; stepmother, Lucelia Weatherby; brother, E. Alan Weatherby; sister, Ann Raymond; and son in law, Robert Brown.

In keeping with Dick's wishes, a private military service will be held for immediate family.

The family would like to extend an invitation to join them for a casual celebration of life at the Oasis at Hazlitt's Winery from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. on August 7th .
