Robert Clark

Robert Leslie Clark of Trumansburg, New York passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Robert is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy two daughters, Lisa Clark of Trumansburg and Stacey Clark of Lodi; siblings Theodore (Betty) Clark of Sebring, Ohio, Sharon Paneccasio of Wethersfield, Connecticut, Karen Clark of Trumansburg, New York, John “Jack” (Tanna) Clark of Freeville, New York, Richard (Cecile) Clark of Stockbridge, Georgia; and brother in law Thomas “Tom” Brown of Alpine, New York; close family members, Richard and Donna Srnka; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Freda Clark of Trumansburg, New York and brother in law Eugene Paneccasio of Wethersfield, Connecticut.

Robert was honorably discharged from the US Navy on February 13, 1971 after serving six years including two tours in Vietnam. He then began working at the Odd Fellows in Ithaca, NY. Robert retired from Cornell University after 20+ years of service. Robert was a member of the American Legion in Trumansburg, New York. Robert will be remembered for his sense of humor, devotion to his family, and kindness. He was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, wood working, and spending time with family and friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Ness – Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Grove Cemetery.
