Robert E.  White

Robert Earl White, former resident of Trumansburg passed away at his home in Florida surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the age of 83.

Robert was born in Horseheads on March 11, 1931, a son of the late Jasper and Eva (Call) White. Robert joined the United States Army honorably serving his country during the Korean War. Returning home to marry his beloved wife of 47 years, Ellnora (Bonnie) White who preceded him in death. Together they raised their children in Trumansburg.

Robert is survived by his wife, Rena Ferris; children, Robert (Bonnie) White Jr., Carol Clark, Lisa (James) Westfall, Elizabeth (Steve) Knuutila, and Bonnie Jo (John) Hopper; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and siblings Raymond (Donna) White and Martha Popvich.

The family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home. Prayers of Committal and Military Honors will immediately follow in Grove Cemetery.
