Robert Allen Wilsea

Trumansburg

Following a long period of declining health, Robert Wilsea died in Ithaca at age 71.  Bob was born in Canandaigua, NY to John C. and Wilma C. Wilsea and raised in Shortsville and Canandaigua.  Following graduation from Canandaigua Academy, he enlisted in the US Air Force.  Upon his military retirement, he and his family moved to Tompkins County.  He completed his education at Rochester Institute of Technology, and then worked for NYS Department of Labor.  He was a resident of Trumansburg for 25 years.  Bob dearly loved his family and was proud of his twenty years of service to his country.  Friends and family knew that he was a Yankees fan with an encyclopedic memory for sports statistics.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Donna Livelsberger, and his brother, Scott Wilsea.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathryn Ferrel Wilsea, sons Michael Raichelson (Andrea) of St. Louis MO and Kevin Wilsea (Morgan) of Trumansburg; sister Cheryl Perron (Scott) of Canandaigua; the Ferrel brothers-in-law: John (Justine) of Clay NY, Richard (Diana) of McConnells SC, Stephen (Maria) of Brockport NY, Bruce (Linda) of Fort Mill SC, and Paul (Jennifer Apetz) of Rochester NY; also nieces and nephews and their families.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Sampson Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

The family thanks health care professionals and the Trumansburg Ambulance/EMT for all their kind care of Bob.
