Rodney D. Owens

Rodney D. “Roddy” Owens of Enfield passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the age of 56.

Roddy was born in Ithaca on April 24, 1957, a son of the late Delbert and June (Cooper) Owens. He enjoyed anything to do with Harley Davidson motorcycles and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Roddy is survived by his wife, Mary Owens; seven children, Jeffrey “JJ” (Tabitha) Owens, Paul (Julie) Owens, Christopher Owens, Donald “DJ” (Jessica) Kelley, Anna Kelley, Kevin Owens, and Ami Owens; 10 grandchildren, Adam, Kaytlyn, Nicole, Emma, Derek, Zoe, Cameron, Jordan, Connor, and Brody; and nine siblings, Larry Owens, Linda, Jeff Owens, Shawn Owens, Terry Owens, Chris Owens, Kelli Vallely, Dawn Drake, and Joe Cicci. In addition to his parents, Roddy was preceded in death by a brother, Jamie Owens.

A Celebration of Roddy’s Life was held from 12:00 to 5:00pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Enfield Grange. The family asks those who attend to please bring a dish to pass and a fond memory of Roddy to share.
