Ronald John Tutsky, 84, of Greenwich, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Johnson City, New York, on March 16, 1940, he was the son of the late John and Elvira Tutsky.
Ron was predeceased by his siblings, Faith Yannuzzi, Larraine Greblick, and Michael Tutsky; as well as brothers-in-law Anthony Perfetti, Joseph Yannuzzi, and Barry Schumaker. He is survived by his sisters, Darlene Schumaker and Karen Perfetti; his niece Paige Frey (Jeffrey); nephew Tory Perfetti; grandnephew Taylor Frey (Jenna) and great-grandnephew Morgan Carpenter-Frey. Ron will also be deeply missed by his close friends, the Filipovic family, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ron graduated from Michigan State University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Administration. He began his professional career at IBM before embarking on a journey as an entrepreneur and inventor, earning several patents. Later in life, Ron worked as a limousine driver, delighting his clients with stories about his inventions, family, and his lifelong passion: baseball.
Growing up in Johnson City, Ron was an avid athlete, but baseball always held a special place in his heart. He eagerly shared his knowledge of the game, coaching and mentoring others over the years. One of his greatest joys was taking his niece to New York Mets and Yankees games. In his memory, his family encourages everyone to watch a baseball game and cheer for his favorite team: Go Yankees!
