Ruth B. Carpenter

Ruth B. Carpenter of Newfield passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the age of 91.

Ruth was born in Interlaken on May 5, 1927, a daughter of the late Carman and Mae (Wyckoff) Travis. She worked in the office for over 30 years at Eastern and was a longtime member of the Trumbulls Corners Community Church. Most of all, Ruth loved her family unconditionally and had a strong faith in the Lord.

Ruth is survived by a sister, Pat Ditmars; a brother, Bill (Cathy) German; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; and step children, Charla and Roxanne.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Trumbulls Corners Community Church, 628 Trumbulls Corners Road, Newfield. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00pm at the church.
