S. Hardesty, Nancy

Nancy S. Hardesty of 5120 Halseyville Road, Trumansburg passed away at the Cayuga Medical Center on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the age of 69.

Born on August 17, 1934 in Syracuse, New York, Nancy was the daughter of William Howard and Bessie Louise Prahl Salisbury. She grew up in Baldwinsville and was a member of the Baldwinsville Moose Club #649. Nancy moved to Trumansburg in 1970 and developed many friendships in the medical field through her employment with several doctors in the Ithaca area.

Nancy could often be found reading or crocheting in her free time and has left many hand-made treasures behind as a lasting memory of her giving and loving presence.

Surviving Nancy are her devoted husband of 19 years, Clare L. Hardesty of Trumansburg; one daughter, Mary (Allen) Wells of Syracuse; one son, David (Tina) Stanton of Syracuse; two step-daughters, Isabelle and Sheila; one step-son, James; nine grandchildren and one brother, Norm Salisbury of Baldwinsville.

The family will be present to receive their friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg on Wednesday, November 26 from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Fr. Philip W. Snyder officiating. Prayers of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Ithaca.
