Sandra J. (Tillinghast) Ike

Sandra J. Ike of Interlaken passed away at Arnot Ogden Hospital on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the age of 73.

Sandy was born in Union County, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1947, a daughter of the late Donald and Blanche (Nogle) Tillinghast. She worked as a cook at Willard Psychiatric Center and then at the NYS Fire Academy before retiring. Sandy enjoyed gardening and tending to her animals including mini horses, cats, dogs, chickens, and goats. Following her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren Jethro, Abby, Emma, and Erin.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Ike; five children, Susan Snyder, Donald (Cheryl Perez) Ike, Melissa (Alan Boda) Ike, Amy (Scott) Denmark, and Nancy (Christopher McMillen) Ike; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Tillinghast; sister Donna Gibson; and sister in law, Nancy (Robert) Matthews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rita.

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes, there will be no services.
