Shirley J. Beardsley

Shirley J. Beardsley, of Ithaca, died suddenly at her home on June 27, 2013 at the age of 60.

Shirley was born on July 25, 1952 in Ithaca, a daughter of the late Elvin and Eunice (Schroeder) Beardsley. Throughout her life, Shirley spent most of her time helping other people.

Shirley is survived by her lifetime companion and friend, John F. Anderson III; a sister, Melody Beardsley Bentley; and a brother, Tom Beardsley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Beardsley.

The family will be present to receive friends from Noon to 1:00pm on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. Funeral Services will immediately follow, at 1:00pm, at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Kelly officiating. There will be a Celebration of Shirley’s Life and dish to pass at Melody’s home located at 256 N. Van Dorn Road at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 14. Please contact Melody with any questions at 273-2248.
