Susan Shaw

Susan (Sue) Thayer Shaw of Ithaca, formerly of Manchester, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at Hospicare surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at the age of 62.

Sue was born on September 7, 1957 in Trenton, New Jersey, a daughter to Lawrence and Alice (Yaw) Thayer. She graduated from Ithaca High School in 1975 and attended SUNY Brockport following graduation. Sue moved to New Hampshire and worked at Atomic Ski in Manchester for many years before operating Maintenance Matters alongside her Husband, Jay Shaw, in Manchester.

Sue treasured life with ‶the love of her life,″ Jay. They were often found supporting their New England sports teams, laughing, cooking, or vacationing with family on Cayuga Lake. Sue was preceded in death by Jay and is now resting peacefully with her soul mate.

Sue is survived by her son, Christopher Shaw and fiancé Casey Wallace; step sons Tom Shaw and Joseph Shaw IV; parents, Larry and Alice Thayer; brothers, Steven (Shannon) Thayer and Douglas (Linda) Thayer; lifelong family friend Donna Berich; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends in the summer of 2020.
