Suzanne M. Mack, age 56, of Hector passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 31, 2021.
She was born on March 3, 1964, in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Scott and Helen (Chapman) Lanning. Sue was an Ithaca High School graduate and continued her education at Cornell University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.
She spent years living in South Dakota while her husband served in the Military. Returning home to pick up her job developing pictures, she became well known by all the professional photographers as one of the best printers in the city. Sue left that field to take a more active role in the lives of her kids.
Her talents were always on display wherever she lived with flowers and vegetables planted in every available space. She raised her two boys homeschooling them for years and then handing them over to finish high school when they were older. Her life was wrapped up in her kind and open heart that she used to touch the lives of everyone she met. Sue poured her heart out into her children and grandchildren.
Because of her warm heart, she always allowed her husband to drag her into helping anywhere she could. This recently led her to the Lodi Rod and Gun where her help was so needed and welcomed to bring this club back. She created a warm and friendly bridge for people to enter the new era of the club
This is one example of groups she became such a great part of; bible studies, Awana, CAP, whatever touched the lives of her family, she would embrace and spread a wonderful joy throughout. Sue found an unwavering devotion to her work as a Young Living Consultant but truly found her passion in her family. This gave her an outlet to help people like never before and so many have been helped through her efforts. A loving and dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother, family always came first. Aa a member at Seneca Community Church Sue will be greatly missed in all the activities she was part of.
A very special thank you from Sue’s family to the doctors, nurses, and aids on the 4th floor at Cayuga Medical Center who went above and beyond for Sue and her family. We know you all did your very best for us; thank you.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Robert “RJ” Mack; her sons, Jacob (Stacie) Mack and Bradley (Tommie Lee) Mack; two grandchildren, Josephine Elaine and Liam Harvey Mack; her siblings; Ray (Linda) Lanning, Chuck (Jan) Lanning, Sonja Schreiber and Sharon Warren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her sister, Sheila Holly.
