Travis M. Vorhis

Travis M. Vorhis, age 24, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Travis was born in Ithaca on November 24, 1989, the son of David Wright and Carol Vorhis. He attended South Seneca Central Schools and successfully completed his GED. He had worked at the Boatyard Grill in Ithaca, where he nurtured his love of cooking. He found his niche in Florida, where his bright smile and love of people was a natural fit in selling time share condominiums. He recently returned to Ithaca, to be near his family.

Travis is survived by his parents, Carol Vorhis and David Wright of Interlaken, his brother, Eric M. (Alicia) Wright of Trumansburg, his nieces, Kaylee and Lilly, and a nephew, Blake; his paternal grandparents, Harold and Sue Wright of Trumansburg, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Frank and Virginia Vorhis.

A Memorial Service to commemorate Travis’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Church of the Epiphany, 11 Elm Street in Trumansburg, officiated by Fr. Gurdon Brewster.
