Victor Lewis

Victor R. Lewis, formerly of Trumansburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the age of 99.

Vic was born in West Danby on September 2, 1917 a son of the late Carl and Katherine (Haycook) Lewis. He was employed by NCR for 35 years until his retirement in 1973. Following his retirement, he and his wife, Bonnie, travelled extensively throughout the world including Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada, the Grand Canyon, and Europe.

Vic had an extremely strong faith and was an active member of the Jacksonville Methodist Church serving as a past Lay Leader and past chair of the Church Administrative Board. He was also an honorary life member of the International Management Council and a 75 year member of the Lansing Lodge No. 774 Free and Accepted Masons of New York.

Vic is survived by his wife of 76 years, Frances "Bonnie" Lewis; a son Bradley (Lori) Lewis; daughter-in-law, Patty Lewis; five grandchildren, Miranda (Ken) Berkley, Ryan (Laura) Soule, Melissa (Ron) Maghes, Christine (Craig) Kisner, and Heather (Jason) Cheetham; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Vic was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lewis; a son, Kim Lewis; brother, Gerald “Bud” Lewis; and sister, Doris Pataki.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home. Prayers of committal will be private for family in North Lansing Cemetery.
