James W. Crimmins, 80, of Bokeelia, Pine Island, Florida died at Hope Hospice after a short illness on March 2, 2006.

He was a native of Little Meadows, PW and a former resident of Trumansburg, NY. He was a former owner of the T-Burg IGA and a commercial fisherman in Bokeelia.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Alice E. Crimmins on September 19, 2001. Survivors include children David J. of Jersey City, NJ; Margaret M. of New York City, NY; Sandy of Philadelphia, PA; Philip R. of Cortland, NY and Susan J. of Walton, NY. He is also survived by a son-in-law, Joseph A. Sullivan and grandsons Matthew and Brendan and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a Marine veteran of WWII. He leaves many dear friends.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James the Apostle Church in Trumansburg on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eugene O'Hara, OFM Cap. as celebrant.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Trumansburg American Legion Post #770, PO Box 456, Trumansburg, NY 14886 or to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909.
