Wanda Josephine Jakubowski of Trumansburg, formerly of Dexter and New Jersey, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the age of 89.
Wanda was born on November 2, 1925 in Dexter, the oldest of 16 children to the late Lucian and Mary Agnes (Cosmic) Jakubowski. She was employed with the New Jersey State Police as the Head Clerk where she worked for 35 years. After retiring Wanda resided with the family of John Rendeiro. Wanda’s family would like to extend their love and appreciation to the Rendeiro’s for the love and care they gave Wanda during her stay with them.
Wanda is survived by nine siblings, Stanley, John, Felix, Edward, Victor, Martin, Veronica, Edwina, and Janina; an uncle, John Cosmic of Watertown; and two cousins, Joanne (Joseph) Amaral and Fred Tannenburg. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Kali; and six siblings, Walter, Richard, Carl, Kathleen, Victoria Lila, and Victoria Louise.
A Graveside Service will be announced at a later date.
