Warren E. Rotunno, of Ithaca NY left this earth on September 14, 2023, at the age of 32 years old in the presence of his loving Mom and “Ba” and caregiver family. He lived his best life, taught us what love is all about, and was pure of heart. He never held judgement, hate or prejudice in his heart. He will always be remembered for his smile that lit up a room, his laughter, love of his family, his rock and roll music, and his pets. He was a great storyteller using his own language.
He leaves behind his parents , Patti Zalewski-Gibson and Bill Gibson; brothers, Corey (Stephanie) Rotunno, Ian Rotunno; Stepsisters, Emma (Chelsea) Gibson, Sarah (Miguel) Gibson; his niece and nephew, Kelsey and Robbie who brought him great joy and pride; his beloved Aunt Fran Murawski; his animals Jade, Jessie and Prince, his extended family members that includes his housemates at his Group home, and his many care providers at his home and Day Treatment program. He was predeceased by his father Robert E. Rotunno; grandparents, Jane and Edward Zalewski, Fernanda and Onorio Rotunno; and Uncle Thomas Zalewski.
Warren will never be forgotten by the hundreds of lives he touched, always knowing someone wherever he went. In lieu of flowers, his memory can be honored by supporting the Ithaca Youth Bureau, Recreation Mainstream Program, Special Olympics of Tompkins County, or any other charity of your choice.
