Bruce D. Wright

Bruce Donald Wright, age 76, of north/south/and middle Stilwell Road, Trumansburg, NY passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2022.

Bruce, a proud SEABEES veteran is survived by his longtime life partner, Linda Cole, son Doug (Melissa) Wright, and stepdaughters Melanie (Ron) Cole and Melissa Perez.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: William (Rachel), Morgan, Steven, Lynn (Elliot), Amanda, Isabella, and his adopted grandkids that made “the wall” Brian and Santi.

He was the son of Almon and Edna (Coon) Wright. Siblings include Richard (Verna) Wright, Marian (Earl) Isaacs, Steve (Susie) Wright, Robert (Carol) Wright, and in-law Hazel Wright, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Edwin and Pete (Sally) Wright and sister Alma (Floyd) Compton.

Please join in his celebration of life Wednesday August 31, 2022, 1:45 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 5 Bradley St. Trumansburg. Fellowship to follow at American Legion Post 770.

One passion was his love of antique International Harvester / Farmall tractors. We encourage attendees who can arrive on their tractors, to do so in honor of Bruce. We encourage the IH colors of Black and Red to be worn on this day, however all tractor colors are welcome!

Bruce was a valued mentor and volunteer for the Future Farmers of America Club where he assisted in a complete tractor restoration with the students. In memoriam donations can be made to “PYCSD” at Penn Yan FFA, 305 Court Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
